In honor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, ESPN commissioned the Wieden+Kennedy ad agency (the same group that did the amazing aquarium Nikes) and the AM I Collective (a group of artists based in Cape Town, South Africa) to create 32 murals, depicting each and every team. Very nice work, beautifully done.
Keep your eyes out- the murals will appear on subway platforms and billboards in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and more (from now until mid-July).
Join in on the World Cup frenzy now.

These aren't amazing - Christ, the proportions on all of the people are all wrong and there's no sense of motion in any of the pictures. To tell you the truth, I think these are completely, bloody awful.
HA! Since when is proportion is an important basis for judging art? maybe if you're teaching a technical class...but beyond that. hmm. love the last one, south africa ESPECIALLY the wonkiness of it
The style is based on movie posters from Ghana in the 70s.
Cool
the north korean one is hysterical...
